David Secunda has served as CEO for three successful companies over the past 20 years, raising over $26M in capital and growing profitable organizations with hundreds of employees and satisfied customers.
He is a recognized leader in the outdoor industry and has worked as an entrepreneur in residence for two venture capital firms. Secunda has served as the Governor-appointed Chairman of the Colorado Department of Human Services Licensing Advisory Committee and on boards for the Entrepreneurs’ Organization, and the American Camp Association.
Providing the foundation for these ventures and leadership roles are Secunda’s early work with Outward Bound in the U.S. and U.K., his B.S. in recreation (graduating Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa), and his first major career role as Director of Outdoor Recreation for the University of Colorado, where he helped found the Association for Outdoor Recreation and the Outdoor Network, a leading outdoor trade publication.
